Overseas Postage… again…

After much thinking (an act which is very rare for me to do!) and some HTML wizardry from my web-guy, the free international postage has been withdrawn. Naturally, this will be a blow, but in all honesty the free surface mail offer that had been running for the last few months were causing me a few headaches with messages from concerned customers, etc.
In an attempt to placate you lovely overseas readers, the rates you pay are still subsidised from the Pendragon purse – and airmail is expensive, even with the special paper rate that the Royal Mail offer. In addition, if for example, you live in the US and purchased two books at £10 combined postage, then I will refund you upon my visit to the post office the difference (if any) between the £10 you paid and the actual amount it cost.
UK and Irish customers will still receive the free postage, and with regard to the chapbooks then no matter where you live then you will still pay no postage.
I hope this doesn't put off too many of you potential purchasers from overseas – as stated above, the individual rate is pretty much subsidised but an order of multiple books will receive a refund of the difference.

Rather surprisingly it must be said, but after my call-out for new editors I actually received a few queries… and will be making a full announcement soon!

Well, I thought it would be helping but in fact free surface mail is becoming quite a stumbling block; the cost Pendragon can absorb, but it's the huge delay which many customers seem to be experiencing which is causing some concern.
At the moment, it will stay but I foresee switching to airmail has standard sooner rather than latter which means, unfortunately, no free shipping. Looking into the situation and costs, and hopefully will have a solution which is cost-effective for all concerned – most importantly, you the overseas reader!
