Right, form an orderly queue...

In another moment of fluctuating madness, henceforth all and any orders over £7 (which includes this novella) will also net you a free copy of any of the three chapbooks published thus far, which are: The Red House, Angels of the Silences and The Legend of False Dreaming. Just mention the title of the free chapbook and I shall proceed to post both together.

Remember: postage is still free anywhere!

With a scant month to go, the original big launch at the FantasyCon weekend was to be Gary Greenwood's Kingston to Cable - after some deliberation due in no small part to financial constrants, this will be now pushed forward into October which frees up space and resources to reduce the Triquorum publication pile. Not sure if anyone remembers, but I've decided to turn each individual acceptance into a single chapbook publication, and come September you will be able to check out Simon Bestwick's Angel of the Silences along with The Legend of False Dreaming by Toiya Kristen Finlay.

Apart from those two, I've also brought forward Terry Grimwood's debut novella The Places Between which I've been meaning to publish for ages - not just for the story, but also the superb cover art by Ben Baldwin (click on the thumbnail for the full-size):

Pre-ordering details will be added swiftly.

In addition, the winner of the July free book giveaway is Tara Noble also from across the Pond - she wins a copy of Feral Companions; at the end of this month, one lucky winner will receive a copy of New Writings in the Fantastic.

On a closing note, and something which I briefly touched upon earlier, it must be said this year so far has been tough; always thankful to all the loyal customers who have continued to purchase books. Despite these tough times, I am looking to the future and with a little luck October will see one or two changes - moreso in an effort to offer more for your hard-earned.

If you're reading this, and you have any comments or insights into what you would like to read, then please do get in touch: always welcome feedback, since it does feel at times to be working within a vacuum, with little interaction apart from the occasional Convention.

Anyway, enough of my warbling; keep checking the site, and if you are at FCon then tap me on the shoulder and if I'm close to the bar then I'll buy you a drink (of course, if a hundred of you turn up then I may have to ration it slightly...)

(By the way, been meaning to add this... Pendragon Press does have a group page on Facebook, if you're interested of course!)

The winner of May's free book giveaway is... Jim Harned from across the pond (and no, I'm not talking about Amy...) He was due to win a copy of We Fade to Grey, but he already had a copy... so, he's taken a copy of Silversands instead.

Therefore, this month's free book giveaway is still one copy of the limited hardback of We Fade to Grey and the draw will, again, be done on the last day and via the website random.org - if you'd like to win, then just add your name to the mailing list.

In other news, not much... working on a few books, realising that Fantasycon isn't that far off. Eeeek.

On a purely hypothetical note, anyone interested in a "donating" say £10 to receive 10% off every new book published from now until the end of time? Just thinking aloud... chewing the cud... shooting the breeze...

First up, another review of Silversands has surfaced:

"... a satisfying and enjoyable read... ll be keeping my eyes out for more work by Mr Powell."

Also, don't forget the official launch this Saturday at the Shakespeare Tavern in Bristol at 2pm. There will be free wine, a reading and copies to buy.

Mind you, personally I'll be foregoing the wine and drinking Speckled Hen!

EDIT: Well, well, well... didn't the launch go well? Within the compact, yet bijou room of the Shakespeare Tavern, a pleasant enough afternoon was spent (though the appearance of hen-nighters earlier did give visions of them gate-crashing the event...) Gareth read from the book, which Cheryl Morgan kindly video'd and uploaded, and thankfully a few copies were sold - no doubt helped by the free wine. :)

As an off-shoot of this, something new could well be making it's way...

Anyway, here are some photographs from the day:

In other news: you have two days to take advantage of the special "pre-order" rate for Silversands. Once the 10th April swings 'round, this price will become void - and consequently, the special Feral/Silversands bundle offer will also increase slightly.

Mind you, the free postage offer still stands for any book/order.

Finally, have you signed up for the PendragoNews mailing? If not, then add your e-mail address to the box on the right... from this month, and every month, I will be rewarding one random subscriber with a free book of their choosing.
